Instructions

All products Antquarium generally consists of:

  • 1 container
  • 1 toothpick
  • seeds
  • 1 DIY gel set
  • 1 magnifying glass
  • 1 Manual

The table below shows the generic activation step.

Step 1

Pour into a container suitable for microwave cooking (preferably glass) or a pan (cooking on the stove in a double boiler):

  • the powders contained in silver envelope
  • the liquids contained in white bag
  • 10 grams of sugar
  • 330 ml distilled or bottled (no gas)

Mix well with a fork, until no lumps.
Bake in a microwave oven at 500 W or on the stove over low heat (only in a water bath).
Cook long enough to boil the liquid, without letting it escape.
Boil for 20 seconds.

Being very careful because the liquid is very hot, pour the liquid into the container transparent container and ANTQUARIUM small (half of its ability) to capture ants.

For 2/3 of the container fill MINI ANTQUARIUM FOREST (about 7 cm from the base).

We suggest to use gloves or protections to avoid contact with the hot liquid.
Wait until the complete cooling of the gel.

Any remaining liquid can be frozen and when heated, used again (or deleted as a common rejection).

Step 2

Phase A-Sow

Open ANTQUARIUM containing the gel and dropping the seeds in the gel.

Caution: do not touch the seeds or the gel with your hands.

Push the seeds under the surface of the gel for about 2 mm using the stick included. Then arrange ANTQUARIUM in a dark place for faster germination.
You can also leave it in shady, but germination will be slower.

After about a week the seeds they throw the first roots, and after about two weeks the bud will be off gel with roots well branched towards the bottom.
As soon as even a single seed will be surfaced by the gel, place ANTQUARIUM in a bright place but never with direct sunlight.
Rarely, it may occur that a seed sprouted; in which case, it is recommended to remove the seed and the gel around with a clean spoon. This should prevent other suits to sour.

Step B-Insert the ants

The collection of ants can be made without moving the canister ANTQUARIUM but simply collecting insects in small container, included ANTQUARIUM, after filling it with gel.
To collect the ants inside the small container, without taking them with your hands, simply open the container and leave it open for a few hours in your garden or on the terrace of your House; you will have the opportunity to collect ants easily and for several times.

Put the ants in the ANTQUARIUM habitat for ants, by opening the small container and, using the stick, or by inverting the container and waiting for the release of the ants.
You can also drop the contents of the small container inside the ANTQUARIUM habitat for ants as the Gel of the same substance.

Close the lid and place the ANTQUARIUM in shady spot, and never in direct contact with the Sun’s rays.

The ants normally live up to six to eight months; If within the ANTQUARIUM some ants were to perish, the workers cleaning ladies of the channels will carry on top of the Gel to allow the ants diggers to continue in work. 
You can also play with ants for a few months after that, when no longer dig, you can release them back into their natural environment and start over with new and more ants diggers.

When all the ants were to perish, wipe clean with a cloth the walls of ANTQUARIUM, where the ants have deposited the Gel of excavation and the remains of her work.
